Commercial roofs expand and contract as temperatures change. That movement concentrates stress at seams, fasteners, flashings, penetrations, and transitions, the same places water usually finds its way in.
KwikShot forms a flexible, rubber, waterproofing layer beneath the acrylic topcoats. As the substrate moves, the rubber stretches and helps distribute that stress, reducing strain on vulnerable details and the acrylic coating above.
The acrylic topcoat can then do its job: provide reflective, renewable weather protection.
